Wordless Wednesday: Catch-up Style

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve put some pictures on the blog… so, it’s about time… right?

Friday, during the week of packing, Zoe and I took a day off and headed to Orlando to see some old friends of mine from Michigan. It was a great day, a day away from chaos.

The next day was our last with Hemmmingway. This was the last picture I took of the two of them together….

God. Doesn’t that just make you tear up? ‘Cause I can’t look at it without wanting to bawl my eyes out. Moving on…

Have you ever tried unpacking with a toddler at your feet? This is what it looks like…

Helping Unpack

Zoe asked to be wrapped up after I finished wrapping a birthday present for a little boy {with girly wrapping paper and yellow duct tape… just call me resourceful}

My little darling Zoebear, cute as can possibly be. She loves to wear frilly things and then run to the mirror to check herself out, and… of course… run to Daddy to make sure he approves. I’m not making this up.

Sometimes we like to wear headbands.

But, what we like to do even MORE is help Mommy make pasta salad {translation: eat all the olives out of the bowl one at a time}

And.. that’s it!

Wordless Wednesday: The Water Table Edition

Yesterday, like I mentioned, I was paying for my great day on Monday. Truth be told, it wasn’t all that bad, I just couldn’t stand up for any length of time greater than, say, 5 minutes. Sounds like fun, doesn’t it? The only slight problem with this scenario is that there’s a toddler runnin’ round these here parts, and that toddler isn’t necessarily stationary… if you know what I mean. So, in a moment of sheer genius, I used my 5 minutes of strength and pulled the water table out of the garage and into the backyard. Another 5ish minutes and we had it cleaned out and filled up with water, I pulled a chair up close to the table so I could sit, enjoy the sun, take pictures, and enjoy Zoe’s merriment.

As the months go by, if this nausea doesn’t get any better, I’m going to need a whole menagerie of “go to” activities where Zoe is happily entertained and I can be relatively sedentary.

But, this is Wordless Wednesday, so why am I still talking?!??!?!

Happy Wednesday Ya’ll!

Oh… and for an added bonus. Here’s a tip for you moms with DSLR cameras, if you’re shooting in manual… which is really fun and way easier than it sounds. Check your White Balance. On my Canon Rebel it’s a little button that says WB, and then it gives me some options. Here’s a picture with the EXACT same stats, but the white balance is different.
