Once again, I find myself having to catch up on photos due to…well, you name it. So, here we go!
The night before Zoe’s birthday, Brad and Zoe attempted their first slumber part in her room. It was beyond priceless. Here’s how it went down: 7:30 – gathering supplies: popcorn, blankets, flashlight/lantern, and sheets to make a tent. 8pm – Mommy said goodnight and left Brad, Zoe and Avery to create memories. 9:15 – Avery emerged from the room. 9:30 – Zoe emerged from the room and said, “Mama come” and then walked into our room and climbed up on the bed. 9:35 – the whole family gathered in our bedroom with a bowl of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream and the Olympics. 10pm – attempt at lights out, but Zoe was still wired with excitement over the events of the night and wasn’t having it at all. 10:30 pm – Mommy and Daddy said, “To heck with this crap” and kicked the kid out of the room to her own bed where she promptly fell asleep.
Zoe’s birthday party: Happened the Sunday before her birthday. Apparently, I only got pictures of the opening of presents and cake. Not really on top of my game there…
When she opened this present, she said in a really low, extremely excited whisper “Wow”. It was precious. The gift? A sand sifter and a sea horse for the beach. It’s the simple things in life.
Elijah helped her open every single present. They’re a great team.

The incredible diaper cake!!!! Do you see all the details?? The adorable hat, Gator blue bow tie, the pacifier that says “Volume Control”, the stinking adorable little shoes??? There’s a ton of stuff packed into the cake, and all around the layers. Rattles, super cute socks that double as shoes for newborns. It’s incredible.
